We make one thing — and that focus is the point.
The Interlock® aluminum roof: interlocked panels manufactured by Interlock Roofing Ltd., locked on all four edges, fastened out of the weather. This site exists for the homeowner searching for where to buy that roof on Long Island — someone comparing manufacturers, not just contractors. You buy the roof from the program; a certified Interlock installer, assigned to your project, puts it on.
Long Island is hard on a roof in its own particular ways. Nor'easters from October to April and the tail end of tropical systems in late summer put Nassau and Suffolk in the highest design-wind band in the state. Salt rides the air on both shores and across the bay, and aluminum contains no iron and cannot rust. The winter hovers around the freezing line, which is what delaminates an asphalt shingle from the inside; aluminum has no mat to soak. Ice at the eaves is a heat-loss problem before it is a roofing one, and the assigned installer will look at the attic with you. Every roof carries the Guardian Lifetime Limited Material Warranty, which transfers once when you sell.

One manufacturer
Interlock Roofing Ltd. makes the roof: aluminum 3105-H24 / 3003-H24 to ASTM B209, up to 95% recycled content, finished in the Alunar® 70% PVDF coating system certified to AAMA 2605 and carrying a 30-year finish warranty. Interlock Roofing of America is the manufacturer's U.S. program that brings that roof to Long Island.
One evaluation report
New York has no state product-approval regime; what a Nassau or Suffolk building department checks is the ICC-ES evaluation report. ESR-1790 covers the Slate, Cedar Shingle, Shake and Mediterranean Tile profiles for compliance with the International Building and Residential Codes, on which the New York State codes are based, with tested wind uplift to 177.5 psf. Standing seam is outside that report and is not offered through this program.
One installer per project
We certify independent roofing contractors on the system, and a certified Interlock installer is assigned to your project. The installer holds the Nassau County or Suffolk County home-improvement licence, pulls the permit with your town or village under that licence, and signs the contract with you under New York's home-improvement contract law. Certified means certified by the manufacturer on this system — it is not a state or county licence.

There is no published Long Island project record on this site, because there is not yet an honest one to publish under this program. What we can show you is the evaluation report, the test reports, the warranty document and the coating certification — and we would rather point you at those than at another region's roofs.

An evaluation report you can look up
ICC-ES ESR-1790 is on the ICC Evaluation Service's public directory. It lists the covered profiles, the fastening schedules, the tested standards and the wind-uplift figures. Check it before you let any metal roof onto a Long Island deck, this one included — and check the installer's county licence number with Nassau County Consumer Affairs or Suffolk County Consumer Affairs before you sign.
One product, described accurately
Interlocking aluminum panels with concealed fasteners, locked on all four edges. Aluminum contains no iron and cannot rust — which matters on an island with two shores and a bay, where salt air is the clock on a steel roof. Warranted wind resistance is 120 mph when installed to manufacturer specification. Class A fire rating is available as a complete assembly over GAF VersaShield (ICC-ES ESR-2053) — the classification belongs to the assembly, never to a panel.
No borrowed proof

A warranty that transfers
The Guardian Lifetime Limited Material Warranty covers the original homeowner for life and transfers once to the next owner, who is covered to 50 years from substantial completion — register the transfer within 60 days. Hail coverage runs to 1.5-inch stones. Ice damming is a stated exclusion. Read the exclusions before you sign; we would rather you heard the limits from us than from the document.

Who is Interlock Roofing of America?
The manufacturer's U.S. program for the Interlock® aluminum roof, under Interlock Group. It manufactures and supplies the roof, certifies independent, county-licensed installers, assigns a certified Interlock installer to each project, and backs the Guardian Lifetime Limited Material Warranty.
Do you install the roof yourselves?
No. A certified Interlock installer is assigned to your project — an independent roofing contractor holding the Nassau or Suffolk home-improvement licence, trained and certified by the manufacturer on this system. The installer pulls the permit under their own licence and signs the contract with you.
Do you hold a New York contractor licence?
The program holds no licence, and does not need one, because it does not install. Nassau and Suffolk each license home-improvement contractors at the county level; the assigned installer's licence — not ours — is what appears on your contract and your permit. Certified means certified by the manufacturer, not by the county or the state.
Which parts of New York do you serve?
Nassau and Suffolk counties only — Long Island from the Queens line to Montauk. New York City's five boroughs, Westchester, the Hudson Valley and upstate are not served.

Why aluminum on a Long Island house?
Salt and the freeze line. Both shores and the bay put salt in the air, and aluminum contains no iron and cannot rust — steel warranties commonly exclude roughly the first 1,500 feet of shoreline. A Long Island winter hovers around freezing, which delaminates asphalt from the inside; aluminum has no mat to soak. And the roof covering is light, so framing built for shingle carries it without structural work.
