One evaluation report
New York has no state product-approval program; a Nassau or Suffolk building department checks the ICC-ES evaluation report. ESR-1790 covers the Slate, Cedar Shingle, Shake and Mediterranean Tile profiles for the International Building and Residential Codes, on which the New York State codes are based. Standing seam is outside that report and is not offered through Metal Roofing New York.
One installer per project
Metal Roofing New York certifies independent roofing contractors on the system and assigns one to your project. The installer holds the Nassau County or Suffolk County home-improvement license, pulls the permit with your town or village, and signs the contract with you under New York's home-improvement law. Certified means certified by the manufacturer; it is not a state or county license.

The Guardian warranty covers splitting, cracking and perforation from hailstones up to 1.5 inches; any insurance credit for an impact rating is your carrier's decision.
A material warranty that transfers
The Guardian Lifetime Limited Material Warranty covers material and finish for the original purchaser while they own the home, and transfers once: the second owner is covered to 50 years from substantial completion, if the transfer is registered within 60 days with the $300 fee. Ice damming is a stated exclusion, and workmanship is covered separately by the installer.
